Non-Criminology courses dominates in Police Recruitment.

Many are still hoping that they could join in the Philippine National Police especially the graduates came from non-criminology courses, hoping that they give chances to enter in the PNP even if they are not criminologist. According to the survey that many graduates who are jobless now because of difficulties looking for a job that will fit in their finished course.

Many non-crim graduates are now paying attention in PNP recruitments since they post quotas twice a year and working in the government have many benefits and better salary compare to a private company. The good news about this, is that PNP is giving opportunities to the other courses to fill out the lacking positions in many offices.

According to a recent study conducted by the National Police Commission (Napolcom), future police officers will be composed mainly of nursing, education, commerce, electronics tech, IT, and business administration graduates.

Decided to join now?here's how at https://macson4.blogspot.sg/2017/08/how-to-become-police-officer-in.html?m=1

According to Napolcom, the records of Public Safety Field Training Program (PSFTP) shows that most of PNP recruitment and classes for the past years that only 40%(percent) of Criminology graduates compare to 60%(percent) who graduated from other courses.

According to an issue, that many criminologist are urging the Napolcom to give priorities to them since this is the field that they studied and they are more knowledgeable in terms of police jobs compare to other courses.

Napolcom explains that in the conduct of recruitment evaluation and screening, graduates from other courses registered higher passing average compared to criminology graduates during the past years recruitment that resulted to other courses representing majority of the applicants and recruits in the Philippine National Police.

They revealed that mostly criminology graduates found difficulties in communicating,
expressing ideas, explaining their knowledge and theories during the panel or final interviews when they apply for the Police Officer 1 position.

Maybe this could be a sign of diminishing numbers of (BS Criminology) recruits in the police service which can end up of being occupied by non - criminology grads not related to law enforcement.
